Finding a message and acting on it are different jobs. Apple’s latest Siri AI expansion puts that distinction before more users.
On October 26, Apple added French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish. Together with English, Siri AI now supports six languages.
Apple describes an assistant that can draw on messages, email and photos, respond to onscreen content, and perform app actions. Its examples include composing email and editing or sharing photos.
The editorial question is how reliably those capabilities work together. Understanding which document someone means, choosing the right recipient and completing an action require more than fluent conversation.
Availability still needs careful reading. Siri AI remains in beta on compatible devices across Apple’s 27.2 systems. It is currently unavailable in the EU on iOS, iPadOS and watchOS, and unavailable to users under 13. Certain server-dependent features have daily limits.
Traditional Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese are planned by year-end. Those additions are separate from Apple Intelligence’s broader language support.
For users, the useful next test is everyday completion: whether the assistant finds the intended information and carries a task through accurately.
